Terms of service.

1. WHO I AM

Hard Luck Goods is me—Chris. One guy, one bench, a pile of tools, and a lot of leather.
Use the site or place an order? You’re agreeing to what’s written here. Nothing sneaky, nothing hidden.

2. USING THIS SITE

You’ve gotta be old enough to legally buy stuff in your country. Or have someone older do it for you. No bots, no dodgy behaviour.

3. WHAT YOU’RE BUYING

Everything I make is full-grain, veg-tanned leather, cut and built by hand in the Cotswolds.
It’s not mass-produced. It won’t look factory-perfect. It’s better than that.

Photos show the vibe—not carbon copies. Expect character.

I can tweak, pause, or stop orders if needed. If it doesn’t sit right, I won’t take your money.

4. SHIPPING & TURNAROUND

UK orders go out tracked via Royal Mail.
International orders? Tracked and signed where possible.

Most gear is made to order. Give it up to 14 days, plus delivery time.
Busy season? Might be a touch longer—but I’ll keep it honest.

If your country charges import tax or duties, that’s your deal.

5. RETURNS & FIXES

I back my work. If something fails because I made it wrong, I’ll fix or replace it.

But I don’t do returns just because you changed your mind.
Once I cut the leather, it’s yours.

6. PAYMENTS

You pay through Shopify or trusted payment systems.
I never see or store your card details. Don’t want ’em. Don’t need ’em.

7. CURRENCY

Prices show in your local currency using a browser cookie. Final payment’s in GBP. The cookie clears when you close the page.

8. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

Use Klarna, PayPal, or another payment method? You agree to their terms too. That’s on you.

9. REVIEWS & FEEDBACK

Leave a review or tag me online? I might share it to show others what I do.
Keep it clean—no hate, spam, or nonsense.

10. LIABILITY (STRAIGHT UP)

Stuff happens—postal delays, tech hiccups, world chaos. I can’t control all that.
If it’s out of my hands, I’m not liable.

I don’t make legal promises beyond what’s written here. But I do make gear that’s built to last—and I stand by that.

11. LEGAL STUFF

I’m based in England, so UK law applies across the board.

12. CHANGES

If I update these terms, they’ll be updated here. No mass emails, no drama.
